Edox Translations is a professional language service provider, established by owner Cornelia Serban in 2003. Passion for languages, attention to detail, customer care and the use of advanced technology are important ingredients in ensuring quality services and ultimately, client satisfaction.

About the Owner
Born and raised in a multicultural and multilingual environment, Cornelia developed an early passion for languages and human communication. Her keen interest in the diversity of people, societies, cultures and languages has guided her life, studies and career.

Her academics reflect her love for languages and communication. She holds a double degree in Translation and Communication (with major in Public Relations), as well as a master’s degree in European Studies and International Relations from the University of Economics and Business Administration in Timisoara, Romania.

In addition, Cornelia has been an active member of ProZ.com, the world's largest translators’ community, and has been included in the Certified PRO network of qualified professionals, based on meeting a set of screening requirements including: translation ability, research competence, cultural and technical competence, as well as business reliability and ongoing professional development.

Cornelia is a member of several other translator communities and stays up-to-date with the latest trends both in the translation industry and her areas of interest. She is also a sworn translator and interpreter appointed by the Romanian Ministry of Justice, as well as a member of the Romanian Translators’ Association.

She has been directly or indirectly involved in projects for such names as Google, Vodafone, Toshiba, Sony, Nissan, Renault, Epicor, Pfizer, Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Veolia, the European Commission and many more. Her ProZ.com profile displays some selected translation projects she has completed, with feedback and client testimonials, translation samples and achievements as a translation professional.

Cornelia speaks native Romanian, fluent English and French, and has a working understanding of Italian and Spanish. In a desire to explore the diversity of languages, cultures and customs, she has traveled to different countries and has lived in various places in Europe.

In addition to her love for languages, Cornelia has a keen interest in diplomacy, human rights affairs, international politics, anthropology, information society. When not working, she enjoys music, reading, hiking, exploring remote beaches, working out at the gym, socializing, or spending time with family and friends.
